Temperly Coat Revisit

Not very often am I taken with a piece of clothing.  There are days that I go, that is amazing and then go on my merry way but I am obsessed with Kate's Temperly Coat

Now I am not sure about you but this coat is very obsessive worthy.  Something about the lines and the collar that just make my style radar go crazy.

Pearls

So I have been thinking about something that would be a bit more royal inspired.  Kate has oodles of pearl earrings but there is a definite lack of a necklace.  So we are going back a few generations to the queen.

In my family, pearls were given to you about your 14th birthday.  I still have this first set of pearls given to me by my grandmother and wear them from time to time.

Now I know that some people might say this is so old fashioned, but it is tradition that keeps the monarchy alive.

Power to the Repli-Kates!

Well, it might be a feminist movement within me.  But I hate sizes.  Here is my open letter to the world on my size.

To the world,

I am a size 10, or 12, or 14, or 8, it depends on the brand.  Why do we have to be these numbers, why do they matter so much to us.

So the store is going under an overhaul this weekend.  You my customers are breathtaking, gorgeous, confident, strong, regal, fabulous, stunning, and fearless.  And now I present to you my new size chart.

The only numbers are those for measurements that you take.  No numbers for your size here, so smalls, no mediums and no larges.  You are perfect and with this you will find your perfect size.

Stacking Rings

One of my favorite little Kate things, is the fact that she doesn't wear her engagement ring all the time.  I love my 200 year old family heirloom that I wear, but to be honest, it makes me nervous.  So like Kate, I have my backup.  Instead Kate has a lovely welsh gold band, which expanded to 2 when little George was born.

This has brought on one of my favorite trends, stackable rings.

Kate is pregnant with Baby #2

Clarence House has announced that Catherine is pregnant with baby #2.  (Press Release)

Commence jumping up and down ecstatically!  I know I am super excited about this, and I have had a feeling for about 2 weeks that she was pregnant.  She unfortunately has a bout of morning sickness again.

To be honest my favorite pregnancy look of George was her Dalmation Coat.

New Repli-Kate Shirt

So I was in love with this picture that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released:

Lace Shirts are one of my favorite style trends right now.  So I wanted to find one for myself, so off to ebay I went.  I found this:

 I have now started to order my stuff and then do the blog work, so here is my official review of this shirt.

The shirt is a Georgette fabric, and it has a lace panel down the front.  I purchased it for, $8.65.  Now I will say this, the lace is alot more gold in person.  I really love it that way.  I wear a 36C bra and the XXL just fits, so anything over that I couldn't say that it would fit.

In terms of the seller, they were great!  It took forever and a day to get to my house from China, but they had communicated with me the entire time.  Here is the exact listing I bought (Click here)

The purple room

So it has finally been released that William and Catherine are going to leave bustling London for Amner Hall in Norfolk.  (Read about Will's new job here) 

After so much speculation in the news about the appliances and room colors I wanted to devote a post to decorating, and on a repli-kate budget.

First thing to know,

Do not fear the wallpaper.

I actually love wallpaper, to a point.  I adore high end wallpapers also, things that cost like $125 a roll.  And never be afraid of some elbow grease and hard work.  Look for places that have clearance wallpaper.  I am lucky to live near York Wallcoverings, and they have bins that cost $2 a roll.  Plus a clearance room!  Look in your area, my mom was always in and out of sherwin williams looking for clearance.

Second,

Never be afraid of a pop of color.

This is a simple way to make a nutural room more inviting.

Third,

Never be afraid to express who you are, qurcky works.  This doesn't mean you have a theater designed after the bat cave.  I am talking perhaps tardis pillows.

Have loads of fun decorating and rethinking!

New Shoes!!!

So my new school year is upon me.  So time for a new replikate.  Right now I am posting from 'vacation' in Pittsburgh.  I have always loved this post George outfit.

Now I have my skinny jeans and striped sweater, I lacked were adorable boaters.... So after quite the search and finding lots of options such as these great shoes at payless ($29.99)

I actually was not a fan of how far the front of this shoe came up on my foot.  These are problems that size 10 shoe people can relate to.  Well we were walking around Nordstrom here and found this great shoe ($85)
